Sweded

I finally got to see Be kind rewind, I had been wanting to see that for a really long time.
Two weekends ago Spencer wanted to rent X-men two, I wanted to watch Be kind rewind it wasn't out to video yet.
I was only in the mood for a comedy so I wouldn't give in.
Spencer searched online for a pirated X-men to watch alone.

Instead, Spencer found this:
X-men made by Filipino kids
And here is another one

So we both won, he got a sweded X-Men movie.

Oh please go check out the website for the BKR movie it's great. They remake the internet

you can make a difference

Spencer hasn't shaved in three weeks and I know what he is doing.
Every Summer he has tried to grow a beard. He won't tell me cause I will protest with pickets. I don't know if you can tell from this picture but he CAN'T grow facial hair.
There are significantly large and frequent bald patches which make him look like a 15 year old who thinks he can pass for 18.
Genetics has banned him and his immediate family from accomplishing this.
Not being able to grow a luscious man-beard has made them fight the harder for this.
They color in and comb over I am not fond of this tradition and I'm stamping his dream here, it's not happening.

Please, email Spencer and tell him to shave.
I've tried to just do it my self but he runs away from me.

ETERNITY................

Spencer: Du dun don dabble diddle diddle dee.
Me: Stop that it's annoying
Spencer: dun dun. How do I make this noise? I'm not even a fiddle.

This is something I deal with regularly.

When my church asked me to teach the girl 16-18 I thought they had the wrong idea. "Are you sure you don't mean 6-8 ?"

After several months I am positive they must have the wrong person. We had a meeting to discuss decorating a bulletin board. (Arrrgh and they wonder why the boys have better turnout to activities) I said unicorns. And in my defense if you do a google image search of unicorns it promises some hilarious entertainment.

It seemed like my ideas were not what they were looking for which is totally fine I just think I was probably in the wrong place. Oh well I get to teach them all my false doctrines on Sundays. This Sunday my lesson is about how turtles use to do baptisms for the dead and the temple is where we play naked basketball.

P.S. I had a friend who really thought that's why people had to have a recommendation to go the temple, cause we play naked basketball.

and that's where babies come from

I went to the park today and a little boy around 5 or six came over to Adia to show her a ladybug he found.
I saw an ash grey ladybug nearby which I thought was a baby. Turns out real baby ladybugs are scary monsters.
"That's not a baby!" the kid tells me. "Ladybugs are first eggs then they turn into a caterpillars and then they get a clitoris ..."
I tried really hard not to laugh.

I can't hear you when you whine

Adia is on full steam with her whining today.
Blessed nap time came only with Spencer interrupting it with, "I FORGOT PAPERS BRING THEM TO SCHOOL NOW!"
Today Adia:
Spilt rice milk on the floor, juice and peanut butter.
Drooled peanut butter on my shirt, wiped spaghetti on another and banana on the next shirt.
Still I could not seem to keep her happy.
Spencer will be in Idaho this weekend so I feel extra frustrated knowing I won't get a break for a full week from now (next week is finals.)
When Spencer got home I handed him Adia and ordered them to play for 45 min so I could be alone.

I'm eating Adia's snack foods as payback.

I'm debating drooling it on her clean clothes but she already got mud on the outfit she is wearing today.

but was it as good as the real thing?

Last night I snuck a piece of chocolate before I started reading Adia's bedtime stories. Adia smelt chocolate on my breath and tried to find the source. When she gave up finding it she stuck her hand in my mouth (it was open since I was talking to her) and licked it.
She tried to do it again but I wouldn't let her
I would have given her own chocolate if I wasn't trying to put her in bed. Anyway, she had yogurt for dessert, which I think, is pretty sweet enough.

Spencer doesn't make sense. Here are my two examples of things that happened yesterday.

Me: Are you trying to eat your lotion?
Spencer: No.
Me: I was talking to Adia, why did you think I was asking you that?
Spencer: I was afraid you were going to ask me it I was eating icecream.

Later that night....

Spencer: I really wanted to spend time with you and Adia. You should have told me to stop playing video games.

Cryberries

Today I took Adia to a farm she loved all the dogs, like this dog and the HUGE dogs I kept calling cows.

I don't like ice cream on hot, humid days it makes me feel heavy. I found the best dessert, frozen blueberries.
everyone who ever reads this (Spencer) buy some frozen blueberries (cause I'm not sharing) suck on a couple and then eat ice-cream. Guaranteed the ice-cream will taste gross and you will finish off that bag of blueberries.

cookies?! for breakfast!

I was very proud of myself when I broke Spencer's habit of eating ice-cream for breakfast, though I realize now it didn't change much of anything. Yesterday he had pancakes with syrup and cream topping off his breakfast with a piece of Mother's Day carrot cake.

Later we had this conversation.
Spencer: Go ahead and get rid of that cream frosting I made I keep eating it plain.
Me: Oh I totally understand sometime I just eat some butter out of the fridge.
Spencer: At least there is sugar in this cream
Me: Well, yeah I dip my butter in sugar before I eat it.

shaking hands with the devil

Adia has chosen her left hand to be dominante.
I try to make fun of her call her a weirdo and freak it doesn't seem to work.
I try playing "quit hitting yourself" with her left hand so she associates it with pain.
It hasn't worked yet.

The genius in me

I hear this too often, "He's really smart just not focused." It goes along with the gifted children post on stuff white people like, Diesle Sweeties posted on it too.
I have a friend who has a 4.0 for three years at a university. I told a mother who's son goes to the same university, "My son is a genius he could get those grades if he applied himself." This is said about a kid who had his computer stolen after he left it in a cafe to go get high.

I am impressed when I met people who are disciplined in their hobbies and professions. If you kid can do complicated math equations but fails to do homework because they are watching Boy Meets Wold re-runs I don't think you are allowed to call her a genius.

Speaking of genius, a cat pooped on our roof last night. I see it every time I walk outside.

Funny Love

Spencer had been reading this fantasy series he loves. It's George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. The first book, Game of Thrones is over 800 pages. He reads them while I work. We finished the first book staying up till midnight.
He was so excited to finally talk to me about it.
"What do you think?"
"I don't know ask me in the moring."
"You didn't like it?"
"No, it's ...it's just so bleak there's nothing happy in the end. There is no love, Every marrige has the husband die, the girl's baby dies and the young girls are beaten daily. It's just ends so bleak and you say the next book is all war I'm not sure I want to keep reading."

....

"I knew you wouldn't like it. It's not Pucca."

Spencer and I have always had opposing opinions of entertainment. Mainly I like anything animated and Spencer needs fighting.

This Pucca
is one of my favorites.

Dream a little dream

Last night I had a dream I was on a ship with a couple in their late forties telling them what we (the crew) would be doing with their daughter, who had just died. I positioned the girls arms up dipped them in oil and wax and set her arms on fire as a torch. The ship began to fill with water and the corpse torch began to bob in the water the arms had burned down to the elbows and continued to burn. I was under water looking up at the corpse's face, she turned and looked at me.
Spencer had to wake me up.

the runaway bunny

I was reading Adia The Runaway Bunny last night, and changed the words.
When I was a kid I hated that story, I thought the mom-bunny was scary. The story is about a baby bunny trying to get away from the mom bunny who I assumed was abusive. Why else would a baby bunny want to be away from his mother? I pictured this poor little bunny trying to get away to a safe place but the mom-bunny would find him.
I found the book at a bookstore and I bought it because I always loved the pictures. I changed the story for Adia where the baby bunny is changed into all these objects but the mommy bunny still knows how to get to her poor bunny who is enchanted.

your rice are belong to me

Rant time!
I went to go buy some more brown rice since I'm all out.
I went through 25 pounds in three weeks. Since Spencer has celiac so we eat rice for almost every meal. Our staple breakfast is brown rice, avocado, tomatoes and soy sauce.
I grind up rice for everything I bake.
You can imagine how furious I am that I cannot find rice in the stores. This rice shortage has thrown everyone into mass panic. I know people who have stocked cupboards full when I've never seen them cook even a cup of rice.
Everyone who freaked out and stocked up on rice go return your cases to the store unless you will actually eat it. Remember with every mouth full of rice you eat a starving kid in Africa is saved.

I overhead a 12 year old girl talking with her sister.

big girl: I know a girl whose black and she's actually really nice, I mean if you find someone whose black they can be really nice. Like, if you find one that looks nice. They are really nice people.

Younger girl: You're suppose to call them Native American.

Four years down

What's the most romantic thing you can think of?

If you said, "dead clown" you just guessed Spencer's four year anniversary present to me.

Spencer got tickets to Corteo the Cirque du Soleil play about a clowns funeral. We found our seats up by the some fans.
"Gross!" I tell Spencer. "Someone is smoking out side."
"That smells like weed"
And that's when the magic began...

The show was amazing as they all promise to be. The best is when the audience bounced a midget tied to balloons around like a beach ball at a concert. Sadly, if you did want to see Cirque for the costumes I would hold back on this show, unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket.

WHAAAAA!

It happened when Spencer went on his eco-savior rant talking about how narwhals are becoming endangered.
There is a long silence.
"Wait. They're real?"
Did you guys know narwhals are real? I thought they were made up like unicorns.
I better not find out that unicorns are real or I will start crying. I could have been riding one all these years!

It's comic book day

It's the day new comics come out hooray!

I went to the store to buy two mangoes, It was more difficult than I thought.
I looked at the two in the bag and felt unsure of my selection, tossed another one in and I immediately felt better. Spencer said he need four lemons I threw in an extra one. I began to notice the amount of produce I buy; five onions nine apple, five lemons, five avocado, seven tomatoes...etc.
I can't buy even numbers it just feels wrong.
I also don't like Adia's sippy cups to have matching cup and lid.

World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Me: You know how people around here say...
Spencer: Gah! you were saying how great Utah was today but you hated living there I just think you're never going to be happy.
Me: Don't start fighting with me.
Spencer: I'm just concerned for you.
Me: Concerned?
(Spencer realizes there is nothing here he can say to justify)
Spencer:... Concerned that you're pissing me off.

Punching Poetry

I once met a drunk girl that proclaimed her love of sex.
"I love sex so much," she said. "That's why I don't have kids."
I didn't tell her where babies come from. I think it will be more fun for her to be surprised.

I went to an gallery opening tonight, there was a picture of mine displayed (hooray!). There were also poetry readings all themed around women.

I will share two lines from a poem that was read,
"You are a flower to beautiful to pick. Your fragrance to wonderful to leave alone."

The man reading had written the poem for his wife and when he finished I applauded, not to him but to his wife, because his poetry is to awful to have to be married to.

I found through most all the art (painting and poetry) was about sex.
I do believe that woman are very sexual however I feel that exhibiting woman with sex is a bit cliche.
Why is it that people do not explore other aspects of femininity?
When people continuously combine woman and sex, is it treating woman as sex objects?

I feel that it was also a maturity issue. Many of the people there looked like undergraduates.

So what do any of you think about this? I really am curious do you agree or disagree?
